Oregon Softball Remains Undefeated at Mary Nutter Classic
The Oregon softball team continued their winning streak at the Mary Nutter Classic in Cathedral City, remaining undefeated in the tournament. The Ducks took on Missouri in a morning matchup, with Elise Sokolsky starting in the circle.
Although Sokolsky pitched well initially, she was replaced by Lyndsey Grein in the third inning after giving up a three-run homer. However, the Oregon bats came alive early, with Emma Cox hitting a 2-run homer and Katie Flannery following up with a solo blast in the second inning.
The Ducks’ strong offense put them up 3-0 after two innings, setting the tone for the rest of the game. Oregon’s victory marks another win at the Mary Nutter Classic, solidifying their position as a top contender in the tournament. With their undefeated record intact, the Ducks look to continue their winning streak in their next matchup.
