A young motorcyclist has died following a fatal collision in shawland on Monday (September 16) afternoon.
Emergency services raced to the shawland Road, near the junction for Biggar Road, at around 4.25pm but, sadly, the 37-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is understood that his blue Yamaha YZF R1 motorcycle was involved in a collision with a red Ford Focus car. The driver of the car, a 59-year-old man, was not injured.
“If you were driving near the area at the time and have not already spoken to police, or have dash-cam that could assist then please make contact with officers.”
