A pedestrian has suffered serious injuries in a collision with a car and a lorry in Coventry. It happened at Alvis Retail Park.

Paramedics and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) Critical Care Car were dispatched to the scene at around 11.55am yesterday morning (Tuesday, October 22). Police are also believed to have attended.

Crews found that a man, who was the pedestrian, had sustained potentially serious injuries. He received treatment at the scene and was taken to University Hospital Coventry in Walsgrave.

In a statement issued today (October 23), West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called to an RTC involving a lorry, a car, and a pedestrian at Alvis Retail Park in Coventry on Tuesday (October 22). We sent an ambulance, a paramedic officer and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance Critical Care Car to the scene at 11.54am.

“Crews found a man, who was the pedestrian, and they immediately administered advanced trauma care for potentially serious injuries before conveying him to University Hospital Coventry.”
