The 3 positions Fabrizio Romano says Chelsea are signing this summer as they sell to buy

Chelsea are gearing up for a transformative summer transfer window, with plans to strengthen key positions while orchestrating a series of player sales to balance their squad and finances. Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the Blues are targeting reinforcements in three primary areas: central defense, wing attack, and central midfield.

Central Defense:

Chelsea have identified Bournemouth’s 19-year-old defender, Dean Huijsen, as a top target. Huijsen’s contract reportedly includes a £50 million release clause, which becomes active this summer. His impressive performances have also attracted interest from European giants Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

Wing Attack:

The club is set to make Jadon Sancho,’s loan move from Manchester United permanent. Romano confirms that Chelsea are satisfied with Sancho’s contributions and have agreed to a transfer fee in the region of £22 million to £25 million, contingent on their final league position. Additionally, Chelsea have shown interest in Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho, with a formal bid anticipated. Manchester United reportedly value the 20-year-old winger at around €70 million.

Central Midfield:

Chelsea are monitoring Dario Essugo, currently on loan at Las Palmas from Sporting CP. The club had previously attempted to secure Essugo’s signature in January and are expected to renew their interest this summer.

Player Sales:

To facilitate these acquisitions and maintain financial equilibrium, Chelsea plan to offload seven to eight players. Notable potential departures include Axel Disasi, currently on loan at Aston Villa, and Kepa Arrizabalaga, on loan at Bournemouth. This strategic approach aims to streamline the squad and generate funds for incoming transfers.

This proactive strategy underscores Chelsea’s commitment to reinforcing their squad across critical positions while adhering to sustainable financial practices. The upcoming transfer window promises significant activity as the club seeks to bolster its competitiveness for the forthcoming season.
