Tinubu’s Bold Decisions Will Benefit Nigerians – Ortom’s Aide
Benue State, Nigeria – A close aide to former Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bold economic and political decisions will ultimately benefit Nigerians.
Speaking to journalists in Makurdi on Sunday, the aide, who chose to remain anonymous, acknowledged the hardship many Nigerians are currently facing due to some of Tinubu’s policies. However, he insisted that these measures are necessary for long-term national growth and stability.
He cited key policy reforms such as the removal of fuel subsidies, the unification of exchange rates, and the restructuring of the economy as critical steps toward Nigeria’s recovery. According to him, although the policies have led to short-term inflation and economic strain, they will pave the way for a more self-sustaining and prosperous future.
“The President has taken tough but necessary decisions. These reforms are painful now, but they are setting the foundation for a better Nigeria. We must be patient and allow these policies to yield results,” the aide stated.
He further urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and support Tinubu’s administration, emphasizing that no meaningful progress can be achieved without sacrifices.
Meanwhile, mixed reactions continue to trail the government’s economic policies, with some Nigerians expressing frustration over the rising cost of living. However, the presidency remains adamant that the country is on the right path to economic revival.
