Red Bull ‘Confident’ of Gains with New Car – Verstappen

Reigning Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen has expressed confidence in Red Bull’s latest car, suggesting the team has made significant improvements ahead of the new season. The Dutch driver, who dominated the 2023 season with a record-breaking 19 victories, believes the latest iteration of the RB series will keep Red Bull ahead of the competition.

Speaking at pre-season testing, Verstappen stated that the team has worked extensively over the winter to enhance the car’s performance, particularly in aerodynamics and overall balance. “We’ve made solid progress, and I feel very comfortable in the car,” Verstappen said. “It’s always about finding the extra edge, and I think we’ve taken the right steps forward.”

Red Bull’s technical team, led by Adrian Newey, has focused on refining the strengths of last year’s dominant RB19 while addressing minor weaknesses that emerged in certain circuits. Early data from the team’s factory simulations and track tests indicate that the new car is faster and more stable in varying conditions.

With fierce competition expected from rivals like Mercedes, Ferrari, and McLaren, Verstappen remains cautious but optimistic. “We can’t underestimate anyone, but I’m confident in what we’ve built,” he added. “The goal is to keep pushing forward and stay ahead.”

Red Bull aims to continue its dominance when the season kicks off at the Bahrain Grand Prix. Fans will be eager to see if the team’s confidence translates into another title-winning campaign.
