President Donald Trump is set to fire several senior White House National Security Council (NSC) officials due to concerns over their loyalty to his “Make America Great Again” agenda. This move comes after far-right activist Laura Loomer presented her research to Trump in an Oval Office meeting, urging him to purge staffers she deemed insufficiently committed to his agenda.

A meeting, which included Vice President JD Vance, chief of staff Susie Wiles, national security adviser Mike Waltz, and Serio Gor, director of the Presidential Personnel Office, led to Trump’s decision to take action against the NSC officials.

Loomer had been vocal about her concerns regarding some NSC members, questioning their trustworthiness on social media. National security adviser Mike Waltz is already facing criticism for using the encrypted Signal app to discuss sensitive military operations, including a recent incident where a journalist was mistakenly added to the chain.

Reacting to this, NSC spokesman Brian Hughes declined to comment on the meeting or the firings, citing the White House’s policy of not discussing personnel matters. Also, Loomer expressed her satisfaction with the meeting, stating she would continue to support Trump’s agenda and emphasize the importance of thorough vetting for national security.
