Oscar Piastri Aims to Uphold McLaren ‘Values’ in Potential F1 Title Fight with Lando Norris

As the 2025 Formula 1 season unfolds, McLaren’s rising star, Oscar Piastri, has expressed his determination to uphold the team’s core values in a potential championship battle with teammate Lando Norris. Speaking ahead of the season, Piastri emphasized that while he aims to fight for victories, he remains committed to maintaining McLaren’s principles of fair racing and teamwork. “It’s always a tricky balance when teammates are competing for the same goal, but at McLaren, we have a strong culture of respect and working together,” Piastri stated. “If we find ourselves in a position where both Lando and I are fighting for the championship, it’s crucial that we keep that team spirit intact.”

Team principal Andrea Stella has reiterated the importance of maintaining harmony between the two drivers while allowing them to race freely. “Both Lando and Oscar are extremely talented, and we encourage healthy competition,” Stella commented. “At the same time, we expect them to respect the team’s values and prioritize McLaren’s overall success.”
