As the 2025 Formula 1 season progresses, Ferrari’s drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, are optimistic about reversing their fortunes at the upcoming Bahrain Grand Prix, scheduled from April 11 to 13 at the Bahrain International Circuit.

Lewis Hamilton, who joined Ferrari this season, has faced a challenging start, with finishes of 10th in Australia, a disqualification in China, and 7th in Japan, placing him eighth in the drivers’ standings. Despite these setbacks, Hamilton remains hopeful, attributing some performance issues to a recurring problem in his car that Ferrari has identified and aims to rectify ahead of the Bahrain race.

Charles Leclerc has also encountered difficulties, including brake issues during the Japanese Grand Prix, where he finished fourth. Ferrari’s team principal, Fred Vasseur, acknowledged these challenges but highlighted that the team has managed to reduce their performance gap to Red Bull by 50% compared to the previous year. Vasseur emphasized the importance of addressing these technical issues to enhance competitiveness in the upcoming races.

The Bahrain International Circuit, known for its high temperatures and abrasive tarmac, presents unique challenges. Ferrari plans to introduce a floor-related upgrade to improve performance and tire management, crucial factors for success in Bahrain.

In compliance with a Formula 1 regulation requiring teams to run rookie drivers in practice sessions, Ferrari will have 21-year-old Swedish rookie Dino Beganovic participate in Free Practice One (FP1), replacing Charles Leclerc for that session. This initiative aims to provide emerging talents with valuable track experience.

As Ferrari continues to address technical challenges and implement strategic upgrades, both Hamilton and Leclerc are hopeful that the Bahrain Grand Prix will mark a turning point in their season, setting the stage for improved performances in the races ahead
