Lewis Hamilton Dreams of Designing a Modern-Day Ferrari F40 with Manual Gearbox

Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton has revealed a bold ambition beyond the race track: designing a modern reinterpretation of the iconic Ferrari F40, complete with a manual gearbox.

In a recent interview, the seven-time world champion expressed his admiration for classic supercars and specifically highlighted the Ferrari F40 as a dream machine he’d love to reimagine for today’s generation. “The F40 is raw, aggressive, and pure. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of being connected to the road with a manual gearbox,” Hamilton said.

Hamilton, known for his passion for cars and involvement in automotive design, emphasized his desire to create something that blends the analog thrill of driving with contemporary design and performance. “Everything is becoming so digital, and I feel like we’re losing that emotional connection with the car. I’d love to bring that back—modern performance, but old-school soul.”

While Hamilton has not confirmed any official collaboration with Ferrari, his vision has already sparked excitement among car enthusiasts. The original Ferrari F40, introduced in 1987, remains a legend for its raw power, lightweight build, and driver-focused experience—features Hamilton wants to preserve in his modern take.

With Lewis Hamilton’s influence and design sensibility, fans are eager to see whether this vision will shift into gear or remain a dream in the garage.
