Speaking on Byron Scott’s Fast Break podcast, Johnson highlighted defensive vulnerabilities, particularly focusing on Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves. He noted that during a recent game against the Boston Celtics, star players Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown exploited these weaknesses, raising concerns about the Lakers’ ability to withstand similar strategies in a playoff series.
Johnson also addressed the broader challenges facing the Lakers, emphasizing the rise of young, talented teams in the Western Conference such as the Denver Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Dallas Mavericks.
