Lando Norris set the pace in Friday’s second practice session (FP2) at the 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, clocking the fastest lap under the Jeddah Corniche Circuit’s floodlights. Despite this strong performance, Norris made a candid admission about his current form.

“I’m not yet at my best,” Norris confessed, even as he holds a narrow three-point lead in the championship standings. His teammate, Oscar Piastri, who recently secured a victory in Bahrain, trailed closely behind in FP2, highlighting McLaren’s dominant form this season .

The McLaren duo’s consistent performances have propelled the team to a 58-point lead in the constructors’ standings, outpacing rivals Ferrari, Red Bull, and Mercedes. Defending champion Max Verstappen remains hopeful despite Red Bull’s challenges, finishing third in FP2, just 0.280 seconds behind Norris .

The 2025 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 20, at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. As the fifth round of the season, teams and drivers are gearing up for what promises to be an exciting race weekend
