A recent New York Times/Siena College poll reveals that a significant majority of Americans view President Donald Trump’s second term unfavorably. Specifically, 66% describe it as “chaotic,” and 59% label it “scary.” Even among Republicans, 47% agree with the “chaotic” description, and 36% find it “scary.” Independents are even more critical, with 75% calling it “chaotic” and 61% “scary.”

Critics, including conservative voices, have expressed concern over Trump’s leadership. Rich Lowry, editor-in-chief of the conservative National Review, criticized Trump for undermining his administration and failing to fulfill his promises, suggesting that Americans should “stock up on toilet paper.”

Furthermore, a CNN poll indicates that 52% of Americans believe Trump has overstepped in using presidential powers, with significant skepticism about his efforts to restructure the federal government and his appointment of Elon Musk to a prominent role.

LAs Trump’s second term progresses, public sentiment reflects deep concerns about the direction of his presidency and its impact on the nation’s democratic institutions.
