Bret Hart Says He Would Have Loved To Wrestle This Current WWE Star

WWE Hall of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart has expressed a heartfelt desire to have shared the ring with current WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio, calling him “one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.” In a recent interview, Hart praised Mysterio’s unique abilities and his significant contributions to professional wrestling.

“If I could pick one guy it would be Rey Mysterio,” Hart said. “I always forget Rey Mysterio, but I think Rey Mysterio is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Like, he’s right up there as the best there is, best there was, best there ever will be. He’s really good. He is really special. Nobody can do what Rey Mysterio does.”

Hart’s admiration for Mysterio is notable, especially considering their overlapping tenures in WCW during the late 1990s. Despite being part of the same organization, the two never faced each other in the ring. Hart’s career was cut short due to a concussion in 1999, which prevented potential matchups with talents like Mysterio.

Mysterio, known for his high-flying style and resilience, has been a trailblazer in the cruiserweight division and has inspired countless wrestlers worldwide. His recent induction into the WWE Hall of Fame further cements his legacy in the industry.

Hart’s comments highlight the mutual respect between wrestling legends and underscore the dream matches that fans can only imagine. While a bout between Hart and Mysterio remains a “what if,” the acknowledgment from “The Hitman” serves as a testament to Mysterio’s enduring impact on professional wrestling.
