LeBron James Exits with Injury in Lakers’ Loss to Celtics

Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James left the court with an apparent injury during the team’s 114-105 loss to the Boston Celtics on Saturday night. The four-time NBA champion exited in the second half, appearing to favor his leg, sparking concerns about his availability for upcoming games.

Before his departure, James had been a key contributor, scoring 18 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and dishing out 5 assists. However, his absence in the final minutes proved costly for the Lakers, who struggled to keep up with the Celtics’ offensive firepower. Jayson Tatum led Boston with 34 points, while Jaylen Brown added 26, helping the Celtics secure a crucial victory at TD Garden.

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham addressed James’ injury in the postgame press conference, stating, “We’ll have to evaluate him further, but hopefully it’s nothing serious.” The 39-year-old has been instrumental for the Lakers this season, averaging over 25 points per game while continuing to defy age with his elite performances.

With the Lakers fighting for playoff positioning in a highly competitive Western Conference, James’ health remains a major concern. The team is expected to provide an update on his status following further medical evaluations. If he misses extended time, it could significantly impact the Lakers’ postseason hopes.

The Lakers will now shift their focus to their next matchup, hoping for positive news on James as they navigate the final stretch of the regular season.
