Emergency services treated one casualty at the scene of a collision on the A96 near Elgin this afternoon.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they sent two units to the road at around 1.30pm this afternoon after reports of a collision.

Firefighters have since made the area safe and left the scene.

A representative for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service stated: “On Monday, September 16, at 1:31 pm, we received a notification about a traffic accident close to Elgin.

“Two fire engines were dispatched by Operations Control to the A96, where they discovered a single-vehicle collision.

 

“Before departing the scene, firefighters sought to secure the area.

 

“One casualty was treated at the scene by Scottish Ambulance Service personnel.”

“We were called to a report of a road crash involving one car on the A96 near Lhanbryde at approximately 1.40pm on Monday, September 16, 2024,” a Police Scotland spokeswoman continued.

 

“A man was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin to be checked over.”
