Following their hair cuts for charity, two Barrow Raiders stars surpassed their fundraising goal.
September 29, after the Raiders’ Widnes Vikings home game.
They went to the MKM Marquee as a result, where a large number of people gathered to witness the spectacle.
The two endured the torture in order to help St. Mary’s Hospice and The Little Princess Trust.
“Thank you to everyone who participated in Charlie and Brett’s sponsored mullet cut,” a Barrow Raiders spokesperson said.
“We’d also like to give a big shoutout to Devros Barbers for playing their part in such a worthwhile effort for two fantastic causes.”
This past Tuesday, the club announced that Charlie and Brett had surpassed their initial fundraising target of £3000 by raising over £3500 through a combination of online contributions and funds raised on the day.
Charlie added that the ‘amazing’ work that the Ulverston-based hospice performs on a daily basis is what motivated them to make the sacrifice.
The Little Princess Trust, the other recipient, gives away free real hair wigs to children and young adults (up to age 24) who have lost their own hair due to alopecia or other diseases like cancer treatment.
In addition, the organisation has developed into one of the biggest providers of funding for paediatric cancer research in the United Kingdom, working to develop more compassionate and potent therapies for patients.

Considering that each wig costs around £700 on average, Charlie and Brett’s donation will enable many individuals to live slightly more comfortable lives.
After the successful event, the organisation expressed its gratitude by saying, “We can’t thank you enough for the incredible support.”
Even though the couple has reached their goal, you can still support their efforts by going to their JustGiving page.
