Officers arrested a man after being called to reports of a sudden death
Tragically, a woman’s body was discovered inside a Blackpool hotel room.
Emergency services went to the Village Hotel on East Park Drive soon before 9.30am on Monday (September 23). A woman in her 30s was found dead, according to Lancashire Constabulary, who claimed they were summoned to complaints of a sudden death.
Her death is “not being treated as suspicious,” according to the officers, and a file will be ready for the coroner. After being detained on suspicion of supplying a controlled substance, the individual was freed while his case was being looked into and more enquiries were made.
“We were called at shortly before 9.30am on Monday, September 23 to a report of a sudden death at the Village Hotel, East Park Drive,” a force spokeswoman said in a statement. Sadly, a woman in her 30s was discovered dead inside a room when police arrived.
“Our thoughts are with her loved ones at this time. Following enquiries the death is not being treated as suspicious and file will be prepared for HM Coroner.
