A teenager has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a motorbike collision that killed a seven-year-old schoolgirl.
Due to legal considerations, the 15-year-old cannot be identified. On Monday, he was charged with Katniss death on Turnstone Road in Blakenall, Walsall
Following the motorbike-related collision, the seven-year-old passed away, leaving the community inconsolable.
“We’ve charged a 15-year-old boy with causing death by dangerous driving after a seven-year-old girl was killed following a collision involving a motorbike in Blakenall,” a West Midlands Police spokesman said.
Det Sgt Paul Hughes thanked those who came forward with information for the investigation.
“Whilst the charge is a positive step the court process now needs to run its course and I would remind people that speculation especially on social media does not help Katniss’ family,” he added.
“Our thoughts continue to remain with the family of Katniss who are still trying to come to terms with her tragic death.”
