Derry City FC would like to express our gratitude to supporters who have co-operated
After the problems at the Shamrock Rovers game, the FAI suspended a portion of the club’s sanction, as you are undoubtedly aware.
We are requesting all fans to make sure that our only attention is on cheering on the team throughout the two important games that are scheduled for this week at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium.
We are committed to doing everything within our power to make sure that everyone who attends our matches may feel comfortable and welcome at the club.
In order to entirely prevent further punishments, the club would like to ask all fans attending this week’s games to heed the advice of Stewards or club authorities.
I’m grateful.
“They have significantly strengthened their defence, and they have quality players in both the midfield and the attack who have won league titles.”
“I believe Jon Daly is a fantastic fit for them, and I’ll wish him luck on Friday night at around ten o’clock.
We’ll have to be prepared to handle that, he continued, because their supporters will rally around them and want to see the positive momentum that comes with a new management.
Although Derry’s own performance has fluctuated during the season, it is hoped that a run of success may not be far off given the amount of vital playing time that the players who have returned from injury have all accrued recently.

Derry city singer Cara Dillon ‘shaken after being shot in face with BB gun
Cara Dillon by someone from a passing vehicle” yesterday night, June 5, while she was strolling through Frome with her husband Sam Lakeman.
“Officers are investigating three reports of individuals being hit by a suspected BB gun pellet in Market Place and Rodden Road in Frome,” the Avon and Somerset police said.
Fortunately, no one appears to have suffered major injuries or needed medical attention, and investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
“We are asking anyone with any information to get in touch by calling 101 and quoting reference 5224144931 to the call handler.”
Following the event, Cara Dillon shared a statement on social media, stating: “At 7:00 p.m., a car drove by with its window down. I was struck in the face multiple times, and we both heard an automatic BB or Airsoft gun fire eight to twelve shots. It struck my cheek, the area around my eye, and my left eyeball. It hurt so much, like someone had thrown a bunch of stones at me.
She went added, “It took us all a minute to realise what had happened. I was crying and couldn’t open my eye. A kind lady helped.” Sam began searching the ground for pellets while he was speaking with the cops, and he discovered about 7. Thankfully, they resembled gel rather than solid plastic. The cops arrived on the scene soon and began examining the town center’s CCTV. They were really thoughtful and helpful. This morning, I woke up with a headache, a painful eye, and a bruise on my cheek. After a very comprehensive examination (several tests and scans), my optician says everything about my eye looks to be in order.
“I wasn’t the only one shot in the head last night on Rodden Road in Frome, as I learned this morning. The incident has also been reported to the police.
Cara concluded her remarks by assuring the public that she was “fine, just a little shaken up.”
