Those caught returning to areas under the order could be arrested
This weekend, Kent Police will have further authority to combat reckless drivers and antisocial conduct. There will be patrols in Medway, Gillingham, and Rochester.
Anyone returning to an area while the order is in effect may be arrested by police. This is in response to previous weeks of reports of racing, drifting, and loud noises.
The order will lift on Sunday, March 17 at 5 a.m., having been launched on Friday, March 14 at 5 p.m. The Medway City Estate and Medway Valley Leisure Park, Hoath Way, Ito Way, and Yokosuka Way in Rochester, Gillingham’s The Chattenden neighbourhood and Peninsular Way, and the Hoo and Chatham Dockside Outlet parking lot are some of the specific locations.
There will also be further dispersal orders in effect until 5 p.m. on
“The county will be patrolled by officers, and anyone found to be causing a disturbance would have to leave and could face legal action. After being scattered, anyone who decides to re-enter the area should anticipate being arrested.”

While looking for a guy who went missing from Dymchurch last month, a body has been discovered. The finding was made on Saturday afternoon in Dover. (First June)
Formal identification has not occurred, according to Kent Police, but the 52-year-old Kevin Blackwell’s family had been informed. Mr. Blackwell had not been seen for two weeks when an appeal for missing persons was made.
On May 9, he was last observed at Dymchurch’s Orgarswick Avenue. He took the local buses and visited Dover on a regular basis. The police had been worried about his well-being.
He was carrying a grey rucksack and had on a dark cap when he was last spotted. A statement from Kent Police stated:
The finding was found on Saturday, June 1, in the afternoon in the Dover region. Although official identification has not yet occurred, the 52-year-old man’s family has been notified. He was last seen on Thursday, May 9.
A woman has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car.
Ambulance and police services were in attendance after reports of the collision in Rock Avenue, Gillingham, at around 10am this morning.
According to one witness, there was a hit-and-run at the zebra crossing during the event.
The two dogs the woman was walking at the time ran off during the incident, but they have since been located.
Not long after 9 o’clock at night, police were summoned to a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of Leylands Lane and Toller Lane.
The cause of the fire is being looked into.
Gillingham police are looking into a vehicle fire that started, but they are unable to rule out the possibility that the fire was started intentionally or accidentally. The Dorset Police team was alerted to the fire on the road between Milton Abbas and Bourton at about 2:30 pm on Sunday, June 30, and they are now looking for witnesses to the incident.
The event concerned a white Ford van that caught fire in the layby on Fantley Lane, a little distance outside of Silton. Traffic was barred from the road while emergency personnel battled the fire.
The fire department put out the fire and made arrangements for the car to be recovered. An inquiry is in progress to ascertain the origin of the fire.
Officers are now pleading with anyone who knows anything to come forward. “At this time the cause of the fire has not been confirmed and we are unable to say whether it was deliberate or accidental,” North Dorset Police Constable Ed Lewis stated.
“We are in the process of conducting investigations to determine the facts, and I kindly ask anyone who has any information about suspicious activity in the area or dashcam footage to come forwards.”

The body of a man in his 50s has been found in a town centre.
An elderly man’s body was discovered in Gillingham’s Green Street.
Police were called to concerns for the welfare of a man in Green Street, Gillingham at 1.22pm yesterday (June 26).
Officers and paramedics attended and a man in his 50s was confirmed to be deceased.
His death is being treated as non-suspicious and a report has been completed for the coroner.
