M’Chigeeng drug search leads to arrest of wanted man Mitchell Gillingham

Mitchell Osama Gillingham, 33, has been taken into custody by UCCM Anishnaabe Police after he eluded them for nearly two months.

Following an incident on April 19, 2024, where a gun was pointed at a victim, the Windsor guy had been placed under arrest.

At a house complex on Tikmeg Road in M’Chigeeng, the ordeal started on Monday evening. A search warrant was being executed by UCCM and the Ontario Provincial Police for one of the units. When the 23-year-old resident of the house turned herself in, she was taken into custody.

A man suspect carrying a weapon was found in the attic, according to the investigators.

In order to ensure everyone’s safety, the nearby homes and neighbours were promptly evacuated. A UCCM news release stated that the suspect tried to get away from the police by breaching

Additionally, UCCM would like to express its gratitude to everyone who shared information about these people. “It is regrettable that certain individuals in our community intentionally harbour dangerous armed individuals and intentionally mislead law enforcement in their endeavours to capture them,” Killeen continued. “Aiding wanted criminals in your homes permits major criminal activity to proceed while adversely affecting numerous community members who bear the consequences of recurrent crimes stemming from drug trafficking and organised crime.”
