A 78-year-old man was discovered dead in his house, and a man has been charged with murder.
On Monday, after police broke into the house on Manor Lane, Halesowen, they discovered David Varlow unconscious on the floor of his living room.
Additionally, attempted burglary, aggravated burglary, and fraud have been levied against 44-year-old Adris Mohammed of Icknield Port Road, Birmingham.
On Monday, he is scheduled to appear at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court.
Concerned neighbours contacted West Midlands Police after Mr Varlow had not been seen for days.
A post-mortem examination has not determined how he died, officers said
“We are devastated to have lost a much loved brother and uncle,” the family of Mr. Varlow announced. The sorrow and loss that our family is experiencing in the wake of David’s passing cannot be expressed in words.”
We express our gratitude to David’s neighbours for sounding the alert. David, rest in peace.”
