Scottish Gas has issued a closure order to Dunelm.
A well-known Kilmarnock store has been told to close by the authorities, yet it is still closed.
There have been rumours that Dunelm at Glencairn Retail Park in the town has closed due to a gas leak.
Teams are working nonstop to resolve the problem since the alert was initially triggered last week.
While SGN personnel are working at the side of the store, a portion of Holmquarry Road has been entirely closed.
Workers at the scene have excavated different sections of the road.
The alleged gas leak has not impacted any other stores, and they are still operating as of right now.
It’s understood that authorities closed the store on Wednesday, and it hasn’t opened back up.
The window has a notification that says, “Closed until further notice by Scottish Gas order.” For updates, please visit our Facebook page. I apologise for any trouble this may have caused.
The preseason preparations for both Ayr United and Kilmarnock will include a match at Somerset Park between the fierce rivals.
Days before they take on their opponents from Ayrshire on Thursday, July 11, The Honest Men will play a glamorous friendly against Scottish champions Celtic under their new North Stand.
With Scott Brown’s team hoping to kick off their 2018 Championship campaign with a bang, this is a big week to usher in the new development at Somerset. With the signings of George Oakley, Jay Henderson, Harry Stone, and Anton Dowds, United has already been busy in the summer transfer market.
While Brown’s revamped team continues to take shape, United is nearing completion on contracts for at least two more players. Additionally, they will face two significant early tests at the start of July when they play a double header against Kilmarnock and Celtic. In due order, information about ticket sales will be released.

The local green space has been overrun by police this morning.
A Kilmarnock park has been cordoned off by police. Playpark near the football pitches of Dean Thistle Football Club is currently manned by officers. A significant police presence has also been observed in nearby Townholm, with multiple police cars parked close to Bonnyton Thistle’s ground.
Dog walkers have stated that officials have restricted access to several areas of the park, telling residents that it is a “crime scene.” Several places immediately off Dean Road and Dean Street have police tape posted.
In the vicinity of the scene, one cop was also observed monitoring the field close to the river. We have reached out to Police Scotland for a response.
