on

Following a police operation at a residence in Half Mile Green, Stanningley, Leeds, the individual involved was transported to the hospital and subsequently declared deceased.

On Sunday, June 9, at 12:36 p.m., a man was reportedly found in possession of a firearm at a residence in Half Mile Green, Stanningley, Leeds, prompting the dispatch of armed officers and police negotiators.

After using distraction tactics to force entry into the residence at approximately 10.50 p.m. last night, armed officers discovered the man seriously injured. After being brought to the hospital, he was declared deceased.

What statements have the police made?

After observing a man at the residence with what appeared to be a firearm, officers who had been called to a domestic-related dispute at the property withdrew.

To ensure the situation concluded safely, a number of emergency services resources arrived on the spot.

In these circumstances, West Yorkshire Police are required to disclose incidents to the Independent Office for Police Conduct, and they have done so. Additionally, they have launched an independent investigation.

Is there still a scene going on?

As West Yorkshire Police and the IOPC continue their investigations into the event, a police cordon is still in place along Stanningley’s Half Mile Green.

Leeds United then deal re-sign Joe Rodon

Published

on

The Yorkshire Evening Post reports that Leeds United may wait until later in the summer transfer season to re-sign Joe Rodon.

On June 15, the newspaper said on their website that a new contract to capture the 26-year-old Tottenham defender is a possibility. He made an impression during his loan at Elland Road during the 2023–24 Championship season.

Since Rodon’s loan has ended, Daniel Farke has fewer defensive choices. However, the YEP insists that a new deal is imminent.

Leeds United can’t afford to hold off till Joe Rodon arrives.
Unquestionably, Rodon was among Leeds’ greatest performers during the previous campaign, which saw them get to the Championship play-off final.

The Yorkshire club’s Wales international made 50 appearances throughout all competitions, and he hadn’t missed a league match since September’s 3-1 loss to Southampton.

The problem with loaning out players is that it’s strictly a short-term strategy. When Leeds bought Rodon, they needed a new centre defender, but the Welshman was only ever going to be a stopgap, not someone who would be a long-term fixture at Elland Road.

Thankfully, Rodon seems to be happy at Leeds, and it’s possible that a deal might be reached with Spurs to sign him permanently now or on loan with the option to buy him the following year.

They shouldn’t merely look for a straightforward financing arrangement.

There’s also the concern that Rodon, who performed at Premier League calibre in the Championship, may go elsewhere.

Rodon’s signing by Leeds later in the summer is highly anticipated. In the interim, they must sign a new centre back, or two, to avoid being forced to make a last-minute dash to add one in the event that Rodon leaves.

The Whites’ position on a loan of Alfie Gilchrist has been made public, in other Leeds United news.

Leeds United’s Archie Gray transfer stance revealed amid Premier League interest

Published

on

Numerous English and European teams have expressed interest in the midfield player.

The future of Leeds United’s gifted midfielder Archie Grey is a source of excruciating suspense for the supporters.

Grey, who is just 18 years old, made a huge impact for the Whites last season, playing 52 games and mostly in defensive midfield, the number 10 position, and right back when needed. The Whites’ season came to an abrupt end when they barely lost out on promotion in the Championship play-off final.

Leeds is looking to maybe offload some of its first team stars due to the burden of Profitability and Sustainability standards, as they are already making preparations for the upcoming season. Among those mentioned as having exits are Grey, Willy Gnonto, Georginio Rutter, and Crysencio Summerville. Parachute payments and TV revenue are also declining.

One team reportedly showing a lot of interest in Grey going into the summer is Tottenham Hotspur; a trade for Joe Rodon is mentioned as a possibility. An update on Leeds’ current circumstances has been given by transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, who notes that the 18-year-old has several suitors.

In his most recent weekly column, Romano stated, “No decision has been made on Archie Gray’s future yet, it’s crucial to see what Leeds United want to do.” “It’s not just one club that’s closely monitoring him; numerous are. The player is highly sought after in Germany and England.

Grey, who received his early training at the renowned Thorp Arch facility, is still bound to United till 2028.

What Brenden Aaronson said about Leeds United fans earlier this season

Published

on

After speaking with Daniel Farke, Brenden Aaronson is apparently planning to return to Leeds United before the 2019–20 season. His earlier remarks on Leeds supporters this season are now quite intriguing.

Following the permanent departures of Robin Koch and Luis Sinisterra from Leeds, the expectation was that Leeds would attempt to exercise Victor Orta’s relegation loan option to try and move on all eight of the players who left Elland Road.

The Whites still need to decide what will happen to Jack Harrison, Max Wober, Marc Roca, Diego Llorente, and Rasmus Kristensen. However, Aaronson is scheduled to return to Leeds immediately, as unexpected rumours surfaced this week.

In fact, Aaronson had discussions with Farke and decided to return following a neutral loan at Union Berlin. Farke is prepared to offer the 23-year-old a significant role because he believes he has “unfinished business” at Elland Road.

It is even said that he turned down offers from other teams and to return on loan to Union. What’s intriguing, though, is what Aaronson stated a few months into his loan this season regarding Leeds supporters.

Earlier in the season, Aaronson made hints about having unresolved business.
The playwright had a rough season at Union, where they suffered greatly. Union, who had made it to the Champions League the season before, had a terrible run of defeats before making a little comeback in the second half.

Aaronson’s play followed suit, and on the last day of the season, with Union needing a victory to avoid relegation, Aaronson contributed a vital assist in a 2-1 victory over Freiburg. However, his remarks from November are noteworthy.
