As he gets ready to make his NRL comeback following a protracted injury layoff, Adam Doueihi has recommitted to the Wests Tigers for an additional season.

After rupturing his ACL during the previous season, the 25-year-old was out for more than a year before making his return via the NSW Cup this past weekend.

For the team’s round 16 matchup with the Raiders, Doueihi has been named among the reserves. The Lebanese international hopes to make a quick comeback to first grade.

In spite of rumours that a minimum-wage deal was discussed earlier this year, Doueihi has chosen to remain at Concord and take part in coach Benji Marshall’s rebuilding effort.

Chief Executive Shane Richardson stated, “It was so pleasing to see Adam out there last weekend. It’s been a very long road back from injury.”

“He is an incredibly gifted football player whose fortitude and mental toughness are unquestionable. Furthermore, he is an exceptionally decent person.”

Doueihi, who has played in 87 games, has the versatility to fill a wide range of positions, making him a significant asset for Marshall in the upcoming season and beyond.

In the black and gold, the utility feels he still has a lot of opportunity to grow.

“I’m still only 25 and I know my best years are ahead of me,” he stated.

“I’ll be working as hard as I can over the rest of this season and next season and I’m excited about the years ahead.”

Doueihi’s future at the Tigers is probably in the centres or on lock because the team has four other playmakers signed for 2025 and beyond: Latu Fainu, Lachlan Galvin, Jayden Sullivan, and Jarome Luai.
